Downtown Boise Holiday Tree – 827 W Main St, Boise
Celebrate the holidays in Downtown Boise with free, family friendly events! The season kicks off with a spectacular holiday tree lighting event the evening of Friday, November 29th in The Grove Plaza. Adorned with more than 5,000 lights and a custom-made tree topper, the 35-foot tree is Boise Cascade’s gift to our downtown. Throughout Downtown Boise is decorated with brightly lit wreaths, almost 350 streetlights wrapped with lights, and 12 intersections glittering with snowflake swags made possible by Downtown Boise Association.
The holiday tree is designated as the City’s ‘Giving Tree’ surrounded with over 4,000 gift tags supporting the families of Women’s and Children’s Alliance.
Idaho Capitol Christmas Tree – 700 W Jefferson St. Boise
Governor Brad Little and First Lady Teresa Little invite all to join them on the evening of Monday, December 2, for the annual lighting of Idaho’s Capitol Christmas Tree on the Capitol steps beginning at 5:30 p.m. Brenda Mee and Kevin Mee of Boise radio station 101.9 The Bull will emcee the event. Food for purchase will be available through the Southern Idaho Food Truck Association. The Andrus Ambassador Honor Choir from Meridian’s Cecil D. Andrus Elementary School and Idaho’s 25th Army Band will provide festive entertainment.
Eagle Country Christmas Tree Lighting – 660 E Civic Lane, Eagle
We will have our tree lighting event here at Eagle City Hall on December 7th from 6 pm to 8 pm. At the tree lighting, we will have youth performers, free hot cocoa and snacks, Santa, reindeer, and City Hall Campus decorated for the Christmas season. For the grand finale- witness the living Christmas Tree Lighting as thousands of sparkling lights light up the City Hall Campus Christmas tree (east side of the Eagle Museum) at 8 pm, sponsored by Treasure Valley Lighting!

The children of Mars are in trouble! Too much Earth television has made Martian kids everywhere distracted and withdrawn. The leaders have had enough and consult with an 800-year-old Martian sage for an answer— the response? Kidnap Santa and force him to set up a toy factory on Mars. It’s up to young Betty and Billy to help Santa escape back to planet Earth in time to save Christmas, but not before they bring laughter, joy, and the Christmas spirit to the children of Mars. Based on one of the “Top 10 Worst Christmas Films Ever Made,” this hysterical stage adaptation of the 1964 Cult Classic Film is a baffling mixture of sci-fi, Christmas cheer, and childish slapstick live and on stage!
